Their appearance and strength are similar to conventional plastic carrier bags, but they have the extra benefit of being environment-friendly.

Applications

Carrier bags made from bio materials are mainly used by bio stores and businesses that want to promote their green image or are committed to protecting the environment. They are an excellent choice as promotional carrier bags in stores or as goodie bags at trade fairs and events. Our bio carrier bags are sturdy so they can be used more than once. So what happens if you no longer need your bio bag? You can recycle or compost it.

Certification

Our bio carrier bags are certified in accordance with the European standard for compostable packaging EN13432. This means they are allowed to carry the OK Compost label. The certification applies for all aspects of the carrier bag as the inks and additives also meet the stringent requirements of the standard.

Printed bio carrier bags

Personalise your bio carrier bags with your logo or brand, your design or a powerful slogan. This is ideal for creating additional publicity for your store or products, and you can also highlight your environment-friendly focus. Our bio carrier bags can be printed with a personalised design in one or more Pantone colours or with a striking print in full colour.

Our bio carrier bags (thickness from 50µ or 60µ) comply with the European guideline for reusable bags.

Specifications & minimum quantities

Bio carrier bags have a punched-out handle which is reinforced with a patch glued to the inside of the bag.

Material types

These carrier bags are made in bioplastic, a 100% compostable material based on corn starch. For the standard version, we colour our bio film white. The base material has an ivory white undertone so our bioplastic usually has an off-white look. In addition, our bio carrier bags are also available with a semi-transparent finish.

  • Our bio-carrier bags with punched-out handles are certified by TÜV Austria in accordance with the European standard EN13432 for the following quality labels:

Print possibilities
  • Printing technique: Flexography
  • Line work: 1 to 8 PMS colours
  • Full colour (CMYK): Optionally with spot colours (up to 4 extra PMS colours)
  • Bleed printing not possible

Bio carrier bags cannot be printed with metallic colours (gold, silver, copper). These inks contain metals which are not allowed according to the certification standard.
